Before choosing the name Crate of Good, we were actually calling ourselves “Throp Box,” short for “Philanthropy Box.” Eventually deciding that “Throp Box” sounded more like an illness caught on a pirate ship, we chose Crate of Good because it accurately represented our mission: deliver a box of truly “good” products from amazing organizations, working to make the world a better place.
We hatched the idea for CoG while looking at the subscription box space. We saw it was missing products and content that created a true impact. While there were boxes out there donating a percentage of profit to charity or using sustainably sourced and socially conscious products, we still felt there were two important things missing: transparency and choice.
With Crate of Good, we tell you the EXACT impact WE make and then we invite YOU to CHOOSE where you would like to make an additional impact.
Our team at Crate of Good is determined to make the world we live in a better place. We believe we can do that by partnering with socially-impactful businesses around the world. We often say that we are “passionately obsessed” with making an impact and we hope this is portrayed in each box we deliver.
