When we first got together with the idea for Crate of Good, it was actually called “Throp Box,” short for “Philanthropy Box.” Eventually deciding that “Throp Box” sounded more like an illness caught on a pirate ship, we chose Crate of Good to more accurately represent our mission: deliver a box of social impact, or truly “good” products from organizations doing amazing work to make the world better.
We hatched the idea for CoG when we looked at the subscription box space and saw it was missing products and content that create a true impact. While there are boxes out there donating a percentage of profit to charity or using sustainably sourced and socially conscious products, we still felt there were two important things missing: transparency and choice.
With Crate of Good, we tell you the EXACT impact we make with your support, and then we invite you to CHOOSE where you would like to make an additional impact each quarter.
The team behind Crate of Good is radically focused on making the world we live in better, and we believe we can accomplish this betterment through sustainable, socially-impactful businesses. We often say that we are “passionately obsessed” with making an impact, and we hope this passion is portrayed in each box we deliver.
Lastly, to all of our subscribers — the world-changers out there, THANK YOU for choosing to make an impact.
THANK YOU for being a part of the most philanthropic season the world has ever seen.
THANK YOU for directing your hard-earned money to support these awesome causes.
We could thank you until next week and it still wouldn’t be enough.
Here is to changing the world together, one impact at a time.
